Impressions By Kaeli

We always love a good story behind a fabric range especially when the artist is so young and talented (she was only in high school when she designed this range!)

We discovered Kaeli Smiths work earlier this year and was blown away by her sincere passion for color in her artwork. Her multidimensional technique in her original works of art is reproduced in exquisite detail in her Giclee watercolor prints. Her paintings are

inspired by her love of colors and the Chesapeake Bay area.

Her debut fabric range titled "Impressions By Kaeli" has just landed in store.

Apologies for the lack of posts over the last couple of days - we have been attending our annual store Conference up on the Gold Coast! Brilliant weather and content has been very empowering. No doubt the office is bubbling over with excitement of our return, probably blowing up the balloons and making cakes right now!

So continuing with the Sunshine and Queensland feeling, today we feature our magnificent "Ptd Tribal Linen". As always with Linen, the more relaxed, crinkled and textured, the more comfortable it becomes. The Prints are oversized and dramatic - perfect to use for not only great garments, but craft and furnishing projects - Bring on summer!

We loved the fact that they used a magnificent quilt to warm the Bride & Groom and again used a quilt as a backdrop to photograph their guests – Its exactly why we love fabric, it can change something from pure visual to total meaning! Enjoy

One of the most enduring prints of all time is spots in all shapes and sizes. With summer around the corner, the look is fresh, innocent and new. Just seen in the new AUSTRALIAN VOGUE and there are pages of spots before your eyes! It’s the “IT” print  for kids and adults alike.  If you’re looking for it we will be sure to have it with the choice available this year! (In fact “MD” my assistant made me a polka dot bow tie for an event coming up for our conference – needless to say I saw spots when it was declined  – Good try MD!)
